Gather information:

You will need to prepare a Home Facts File. In this file you will need to collect all information that has anything to do with your property. For example, tax bills, deed, utility bills (i.e., Hydro), mortgage papers, appliance warranties, home improvements, and etc. The more you can put together the better!
